Thanking the provincial administration for successfully holding the first ever expo in the province,  Ms.Kawesha said the district stood ready to receive short, medium and long-term investors especially in the areas of agriculture, mining, tourism, among others.

She said her office and the entire Mufulira community was grateful to the provincial administration for successfully holding the expo as it was a platform to expose the unexplored investment potential in the area.

“Farmers and other investors are rest assured of my office’s cooperation to doing business with them,” said Ms.Kawesha .

She urged potential agriculture investors to take advantage of the Lusakashi Farming block to set up their businesses.

The area was open for fish-farming, maize and sugar plantation, among other agriculture activities.

In the mining sector, the district commissioner said Mufulira was open for investment in quartz excavating other than copper mining.

Ms.Kawesha said quartz which was abundant in the district was a catalyst in copper processing.-ZANIS
