Council secretary Laura Munkata confirmed the development during the ordinary council meeting held at Samfya Civic Centre recently.

The project was expected to be undertaken by the Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ) in collaboration with Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) and the Ministry of Local Government (MLG)

Ms Munkata explained in a statement made available by the council’s public relations officer, Gwendolyn Mwanza Mchenga that the aim of the project was to contribute to enhanced local governance for effective, efficient and inclusive service delivery.
