Salma Sky to perform on world stage

Zambian songstress Salma Sky is one of the many artistes selected across Africa to perform at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festivals set for March 8 to 17, in Austin, Texas, USA.

Salma Sky, who is one of Zambia’s top R&B and Afro Pop Queen is excited to perform at this renowned festival with a world character.

Her management Sky Management Group is delighted at this invitation and reveal that Salma will share the stage with world super stars such as Wyclef Jean and the crème de la crème of African music including Casper Nyovest, Yemi  Alade, Mr. Eazi, Victoria Kimani, Sauti Sol and Seyi Shay. Others are Nadia Nakai, Anati, Simi and her Zambian compatriots Urban Hype.

SXSW announced the list of invited participants on their website on 

November 28, 2018.

South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals brings together top-notch entertainers from all over the world in both music and film for nine days full of entertainment festivities, networking and conferences.

The conferences have an impressive lineup of speakers that includes among others, Zoe Saldana, Damon Wayans, Trevor Noah and Wyclef Jean.

 “I am very pleased and gratified to be among the talents selected to represent Africa and feel extremely humbled to be honored with an opportunity to fly the Zambian Flag high with my brothers Urban hype,” stated Salma Sky.
