THE road leading to Lusaka’s Chazanga Clinic is in a deplorable condition and residents have appealed to government to consider rehabilitating it.

Speaking in separate interviews with The Lusaka Sun, the residents said there was urgent need for the road to be worked on because it was a busy one and provided services to the locals.

One of the concerned residents Jane Kaonga said people faced serious challenges using the road especially, children who played in the stagnant water that collected on the potholed road which posed a serious health hazard.

“We are appealing to the relevant authorities to work on this road. It is in a very bad state with a lot of potholes and it’s the road that leads to the local clinic; it’s a challenge for people to use this road,” she said.

Another resident, Francis Chola said ambulances had a tough to avoid potholes when there was an emergency.

Mr Chola said all they were asking for as a community was for development of roads in the area.
