Yo Maps leads Kwacha Music Awards nominations …as voting opens

Budding singer and music producer Yo Maps of the ‘ Finally’ fame has dominated the 2019 Kwacha Music Awards nominations appearing in five categories.
The Kabwe-raised singer whose latest single ‘Season Yanga’ is now becoming a reality to his career has been named under the nomination of ‘Best Artiste- Central Province’, ‘ Best Newcomer,’ ‘ Best Mainstream,’ and under the ‘ Song of the year’ category owing to his song ‘ Finally’.
It is even interesting that Yo Maps is going against himself in the ‘ Best Collaboration’ category as two of his songs ‘ Finally’ and ‘ Season Yanga’ have been nominated separately.
Other artistes with more nominations include the Dope Boys, Chef 187 and Microphone 7.
Meanwhile online and sms voting has opened and will run till 20th September before the awards night set to take place on September 28. To vote for the artistes’ participants must visit www.kwachaawards.org or SMS to 8850.
