NKANDABWE ward councilor Benzia Siamuluwa has commended the Siakalyabanyama Salvation Army church for embarking on building a clinic in Nkandabwe ward.

Mr. Siamuluwa cited long distances people travelled to access health facilities and infant mortality rate as a result of using traditional birth methods as some of the challenges.

He said that once completed, the facility would help his subjects rapidly access medical services.

Mr Siamuluwa further commended his subjects in his ward for cooperating well with the church in ensuring that its vision was attained.

In a statement Mr. Siamuluwa said the clinic was at slab level and already has a borehole, baked bricks, sand and crushed stones a in place for the project.

He also appealed to well-wishers to help the church in building the clinic.

Meanwhile Mr Siamuluwa has bemoaned that some ward development committee members from his ward had withdrawn their membership and participation on grounds that the assignments they conducted were voluntary.
