BRILLIANT performance by ZANACO’s Chitiya Mususu has earned the bullish striker a call up to Zambia’s COSAFA bound team.

Mususu has been impressive for Zanaco this season scoring six goals for the Bankers, having arrived at Sunset Stadium last season from Green Buffaloes where he had an average season.

The striker showed glimpses of brilliance with NAPSA Stars in the 2017 season before the army side , Green Buffaloes snatched him to reinforce their squad for their 2018 Confederations Cup disappointing exploits.

Mususu had a disappointing season at Buffaloes but a move to ZANACO revived his fortunes where he has been instrumental for the bankers this season resulting in him joining the Chipolopolo COSAFA bound team.

Chipolopolo caretaker coach Aggrey Chiyangi summoned 24 players for a local camp as part of preparations for the 2019 COSAFA Cup to be held in Durban, South Africa from May 25 to June 8.

Team manager Desmond M’ngawa released the list to FAZfootball.com and said the team would enter residential camp on Sunday in Lusaka.

The players will break camp on Wednesday to feature for their respective clubs before another camp takes off next Sunday.

Zambia will join the competition at the quarterfinal stage where they will clash with the winner of Group B, which includes Mozambique, 2015 winners Namibia, Malawi and Seychelles.

The four-time Cosafa Cup champions last lifted the trophy in 2013 on home soil.
