Written by Millennium on April 5, 2019
Zambian Tunes music website zambiantunes.com tomorrow celebrates its fourth anniversary in a special music concert set for Porps Nightclub in Lusaka’s Emmasdale. The event is focused on celebrating and promoting Zambian music.
For this reason, several artistes especially those that have used the website to sell and market their music have been lined up for performances.
Amongst these artistes include Rich Bizzy, Ken One, Shenky Shugar, B1 and Mimi Krazy to name a few. The show will be also used to award some upcoming artistes that have been engaged in a Cypher competition.
The show begins at 18 hours and will also feature music from Porps resident DJs. According to Zambian Tunes, the event will also be an opportunity to educate people on the importance of getting original music and supporting our local acts.
Zambian Tunes is one of the active websites that promote Zambian music online.
R.I.P. Nipsey Hussle
Los Angeles was rocked to its core on Sunday afternoon as the news came through that music mogul Nipsey Hussle had been shot and killed in South L.A.
Born Airmiess Joseph Asghedom, the South Central native was murdered in front of his Hyde Park clothing store, the Marathon, by an unknown gunman. Hussle suffered six gunshot wounds, including a shot to the head; two of the recording artist’s associates also sustained gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles native was rushed by paramedics to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Nipsey Hussle died in the same parking lot where his music career began. As an aspiring artist, Nipsey would sell his mixtapes to the public. He eventually earned enough money to rent one of the shopping center’s storefronts and, earlier this year, became the owner of the entire shopping center.
