‘MUZA stays in Premier league’

FC MUZA’s target is to win more games and stay in the premier league, says assistant coach Nowell Phiri.

Phiri said that current performance exhibited by his team was impressive and deserved recommendations.

Phiri who described the win against NAPSA Stars as a sweet victory for his team said the technical bench was elated with the extraordinary performance.

He however said that his side would not be carried away by the victory but work hard and focus on winning more games.

Phiri said that his team will fight to survive relegation and cement their stay in the top tier of the Zambian Soccer league.

“It is a sweet victory away from home and this is our first win in the league. I would like to commend the team for the win because we played well and we deserve to win and our target is to win more games,” Phiri said.

The team registered their first victory in the super league when they beat Napsa Stars 1-0.  The Mazabuka based side has amassed 4 points after playing 7 games.

The next fixture for will be against Nkana at Nakambala stadium in Mazabuka on Thursday in a rescheduled week 5 fixture.

And Phiri has paid glowing tribute to his team for putting up spirited fight against NAPSA in a week 8 fixture of the MTN/FAZ super league played at Woodlands stadium on Saturday.
