Driver denies raping own grandma

A DRIVER of Chisamba district has pleaded not guilty to one count of raping his 88-year-old grandmother.
Sapren Musekiwa, 26, denied the charge before Chisamba Magistrate Trevor Kasanda yesterday.
It is alleged that Musekiwa, an employee of Maluma Farm, where he doubles as a general worker, raped the victim on January 19, 2019 when he went to visit her at 22 Miles area.
The victim is scheduled to testify when trial starts on February 4, 2019 while Musekiwa is remanded in custody.
Rape is a bailable offence but the accused person did not apply for bail.
