ZAMBIANS will not tolerate being harassed by the UPND, a political party that has denounced political violence through caderism,  youths have warned.

Zambia National Youth Think Tank Executive Director Mumba Tebulu said in an interview that Zambians are observing the cruel conduct of the ruling UPND cadres and would not accept to be intimidated.

Mr. Tebulu said as youths they are disappointed in the manner in which the UPND cadres conducted themselves during the filing in of nominations in the Lusangazi and Mkushi council chairperson by-elections.

He said the behavior was barbaric and tantamount to damaging the good reputation on which the UPND was anchored upon during elections

“This is a mere by-election and we don’t expect people to conduct themselves in the way that those cadres in full view of the police did,  such behavior is long gone and will not be tolerated at all,” he said.

Mr. Tebulu wondered why the UPND was so scared of the PF when they had a very progressive agenda which was being initiated by President Hakainde Hichilema and his administration.

He has doubted the abilities of the UPND top leadership and the command to tame the unruly cadres that were slowly denting the good image of the party.
