LUKULU HOUSEHOLDS SET TO RECEIVE RELIEF FOOD

1, 600 households in Lukulu set to receive relief food


1,600 households in Lukulu District , Western Province are set to benefit from the Food Security Pack Programme (FSP) under the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services.
Lukulu District Administrative Officer Thulani Mwiya says the district has started receiving the inputs for the 2021-2022 farming season.
Mr Mwiya in an interview disclosed that government through the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services has increased the number of beneficiaries to 1,600 for the 2021-2022 farming season from 300 households in the previous farming season.
And District Community Development Officer Patson Mwambi says the increased allocation to the district will greatly impact on improving the livelihood of the vulnerable but viable households in the district.
