Musician and founder of Davaos music group, Annie Anivao Phiri last  Saturday took time off her music to visit SOS Children’s Villages in Lusaka where she took some Christmas donations to the children.

This she did in line with her new charity establishment called ‘Anivao Flochi Foundation’, aimed at reaching out to vulnerable children. Accompanied by her team, Anivao  donated assorted items worth K6,700.00.

Anivao said her motivation to do this came from her   passion to do social welfare services with an emphasis on her heart of giving to the needy and how she believes in the saying ‘blessed is the hand that gives.’

Anivao Flochi Foundation co- founder Blest Chipo Hangoma who was also present at the event said the Foundation was mainly meant to help the needy and help inspire children to always dream big and think highly of themselves.

The team interacted with the children and the staff, and took time for a photoshoot.  And in presenting a vote of thanks, SOS’s Baron Mukupa, thanked management and mothers for taking good care of the children. He further delivered  encouraging words to the children.
