Defilement accused boy awaits ruling

A 14 year old boy accused of defiling a four year old girl awaits ruling in the Lusaka magistrates court.

Particulars of the offence before magistrate Nsunge Chanda were that the boy had canal knowledge of the girl in 2018.

The mother of the girl went to fetch water at a nearby tap and left  her  child playing alone outside the house.

When she returned home, the girl told her that the boy came asking to charge his phone and later told her to lay down and he inserted a stick in her private part.

The ruling in the matter was not delivered as magistrate Chanda was unwell according to the state prosecutor.

The prosecutor informed the boy and his mother that the ruling in his matter will be on another date. The matter was adjourned to a later date for ruling whether or not the boy has a case to answer.
