FAZ will provide the Zambia women national team an international training ahead of its fourth round Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifier against Kenya, says president Andrew Kamanga

Kamanga said his association would give the women national soccer team all the necessary support so that it realized its dream of Olympic qualification.

He said that his executive would draw up a programme on how to deal with preparations and even camping of the team.

Kamanga said this after receiving the team at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) as it returned from Botswana where they had gone to take on that country in an Olympic qualifier match.

“We will provide an international training camp even today we have received a request for a friendly game in the next week or two. We will respond once we consult the bench,

“You see the interest you are attracting, everyone wants to play against you, be proud of yourselves,” Kamanga said

Zambia beat Botswana 2-0 to qualify to the next round of the competition and will face Kenya next month.

The winner between Zambia and Kenya will face either Ivory Coast or Cameroon in the next round.

Winners of the two ties will play each other to decide who will represent Africa at the Olympics next year in June while the runners-up will play Chile in a play-off.

Zambia is vying for spots at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with both the men and women teams in the race.
