My name is Bismarck Tembo also known as DJ Bizzy Wizzy.

One of the hardest things a person has to do in life is to speak on an occasion like this one (When a person dies). Lincoln was a very dear and close friend of mine.

It is with great sadness that I stand in front of you today to mourn my friend. However, today let’s celebrate his life and remember all of the remarkable things Lincoln accomplished and how wonderful his life was.

I met Lincoln in the late 90s when I was just a budding DJ trying to make it. He on the other hand, had already established himself as a force to reckon with in the DJ circles.

I was beyond excited when Lincoln gave me my first shot at deejaying. That was the sort of person Lincoln was, he was always ready to help others find their feet. From that meeting, we bonded instantly. He was a hard-working, intelligent, caring and very thoughtful person.

Lincoln taught me a lot over the years, not only pertaining to our DJ industry but also how I could become a better person myself. He positively influenced my life, taught me more important things like the value of friendship and how to balance career and family.

Whenever I was feeling down and needed a friend to lean on, Lincoln was there for me. No matter where life took us, we knew we could count on each other.

This led us to forming a partnership and together we called ourselves ‘’the All-time weather friends’’.  We were now being hired together for various events. Whenever I would attend the events minus him, it would always feel empty.

We did so much together and I have so many joyful memories of his friendship. After his passing, many have taken to social media to honour this great son. The one word that has been constantly coming up in the many descriptions, is the word Legend.

No one in our industry deserves that title of legend more now, than my departed friend. He truly was A LEGEND. Lincoln, you were a humble man full of love, strength and encouragement to all that came in your life.

To all of us here today, you are a man who loved your family, loved your friends and definitely loved your music. A defender of those in need, a fighter, a brilliant, immensely talented DJ and someone I can honestly say made me better. For that I shall forever be grateful. Thank you, for having such an impact on my life, and making it rich with love, and friendship I needed so much. Journey well My Friend, My Hero, I’m sure we’ll meet again.
