WIZA NAWILA IS MISS LUMIERE 2019

Model Wiza Nawila was on Saturday night crowned Miss Lumiere 2019 at a colourful event held at Government Complex in Lusaka.
As Miss Lumiere Zambia, Nawila who is also Miss Hone 2016-2017 will represent the country at the Miss Lumiere- World later this year. Nawila is expected to use her title to advocate social change and development. Her role is to be a luminous woman as a ‘lumiere’ which means light. In her community and environment, she must bring positive change.
Other winners at the event included first runner up, Taonga Phiri from Chingola who will be Zambia’s representative to miss tourism worldwide. The second runner-up Martha Moonga, from Lusaka was named Miss Personality and will be the country’s representative to Miss Global Universe World.
Nawila takes over from Mergan Chishala who won the title last year. Initially, 16 contestants were up for the title which engaged them into lots of activities and tasks before the grand finale. Amongst the contestants include Mwiza Rosalisa Zulu who got the Lumière spirit award and was among the top six that also includes Tsepho Mubiana and Kahemba Mwanga.
Pageant national director, Dorcas Kela Hasiciimbwe and her co-director Zondi Chilembo were both happy the event was successful and are thankful to all stakeholders and partners.The judges for this year were, Mainza Chipenzi,Penjani Nguni , Faith Kabende and Michelo Malambo .
The show was also given an entertainment boost from artistes, Wezi, Shabz,Mutemwa Mr. Fox and Portie .
