Shopkeeper lynched over claims he defiled over 10 minors

NAIROBI, KENYA – A 68-year-old trader was yesterday lynched in Mai Mahiu, Naivasha after he allegedly confessed to raping over ten minors in the last two months.
Witnesses said the man, who operated a shop in Mafuta Taa center, was caught red-handed defiling a nine-year-old school girl.
James Gitahi, a resident, said that a woman had been searching for her missing daughter when she stumbled across the man, who she had known for 15 years, assaulting the minor.
When he was confronted by a crowd that was baying for his blood, the trader blamed the devil for turning him into a child molester.
