Entertainment has become a huge attraction to promote social education and awareness. Models, musicians, artists and many people in the industry have continued to use their influence for social change.
It is for this reason that a special pageant and dance competition is being organised in Lusaka to help create awareness about cancer.
The first ever Miss Cancer pageant has been arranged to take place at Odini Arts Center in Chelstone, near the small market.
According to organisers, this event will run side by side with a special dance competition dubbed ‘Step up to Storm Cancer’. This will be a group or individual dance competition whose participants must register their intention before July 20.
The dance will be used to promote various issues regarding cancer in Zambia. On the other hand, the main event ‘ Miss Cancer’ will focus on the importance and influence of beauty and social responsibility.
