SOUTH Africa’s premier soccer league (PSL) record goal scorer Collins Mbesuma has left his national division one side Maccabi FC to join another NFD side, University of Pretoria FC.

The veteran Zambia international striker joins the Pretoria-based outfit on the back of strong campaign in the South African second-tier league.

Mbesuma joined national first division (NFD) side University of Pretoria after having had a powerful season in which he scored 10 times with another NFD club in Maccabi FC last season.

The 35-year old Zambian legendary marksman was among 11 new faces unveiled by the Pretoria side on Tuesday as they look to earn promotion back to the PSL having been relegated in the 2014/15 season.

Mbesuma has featured for a number of top clubs in South Africa, among them Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns among others.

University of Pretoria will be banking on his experience to help improve their place on the log having finished 14th last season.
