SOUTH Africa’s 2019/20 ABSA premier soccer league top scorer Mwape Musonda is reported to be on his way out of his club Black Leopards.

According to reports in the S.A media, Leopards club chairman David Thidiela confirmed that Mwape who was his team’s leading striker had received a number of offers from both local and international clubs.

Thidiela believes it’s time for the Chipolopolo forward to move on as he has done what he was supposed to do for Limpompo-based side.

“This guy has scored goals for us in the National First Division (NFD). We returned to the PSL and he continued to score goals and won the top goalscorer award,” Thidiela was quoted in a local magazine.

“We want to sell Musonda because he has done a good job for us,we want him to join a club that plays in a top league what more do we need for him?” he said.

The Zambian striker guided Black Leopards to the top flight of South Africa football after emerging top scorer in the National first Division with 15 goals.

The former Konkola Mine Police striker continued with his form as he finished his first season back in the PSL as the league’s top goal-scorer with 16 goals.

Musonda previously had bad spells with Orlando Pirates and Lamontville Golden Arrows before he was offloaded to the Limpopo-based outfit in 2016.
