PASTOR OF THE WEEK: WALKING WITH GOD

Written by on June 23, 2019

Life is a series of never-ending choices. It could be in the area of finding a right partner, business deal, career search, employment or solving irksome family issues.

The decisions we make today determine who we become tomorrow and what we achieve in life.

However, many of us many times find ourselves in a dilemma of not knowing exactly the right decisions to make.

It is against this backdrop that we need God to help us make right decisions, for it is not everything that glitters which is gold and not every open door is God’s door.

The scripture in Isaiah 48 v 17 says, “… I am the LORD, your God who teaches you what is best for you and leads you in the way you should go”.

We must learn how to walk with God. Walking with God is not just about going to church, but about being in agreement with His Word, discerning His voice and yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The Scripture in Proverbs 3 v 5 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding, but to acknowledge Him in all our ways so that he may direct our paths.

We can achieve this by continuously renewing our minds with the Word of God that enables us to know what is good, acceptable and perfect to do the will of God for our lives.

The Word of God that we have internalised becomes the driver of our thought processes and forms our belief system.

Our lives follow the paths that have been formed by our thinking. We become what we think.

As we meditate on the Word of God and speak it forth, we release the power of God to change our circumstances.

Yes, the Word of God in our mouth is a creative machine that breaks every limitation and brings into reality the promised godly prosperous life.

What shall we say then? It does not matter what kind of pain you are going through, for there is no mountain which is insurmountable.

You may have been beaten hands down by troubles of this world, but I want to let you know that there is God who answers prayer, who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and far above that which you may think or ask of.

He is unchangeable changer who changes times and season, which heals the broken, hearted and binds up their wounds.

May He come through for you and make a way where there seems to be no way. May you eat the good of the land in the land of the living.

If you have not yet given your life to Jesus, I encourage you to do so.

He has already conquered Satan, sin and death for you and is standing at the door of your heart knocking.

Let Him rule your life, and your life will never be the same again.
