David Yano went into hiding after shooting dead his three children and leaving the other three injured at their home in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Youths from his home area caught Yano on Thursday evening June 13 at Kabulwo Trading Centre and later killed by the family members at around 2.30 pm.
Koibirir location Chief Alfred Lorem, while speaking to the police, confirmed the incident saying that Yano was arrested but family members took him and killed him.
“He was today arrested today at Kobulwa in Keiyo North. His kinsmen were informed and they rushed with a motorbike and brought him to his home place in Kasige village and they killed him at 2:30 pm,” said Lorem.
Yano was buried immediately after the incident. His three dead children were taken to the Iten Referral Hospital mortuary while the other three are still receiving treatment at the Iten County Hospital.
