Kambole move to Kaizer Chiefs exciting

KONKOLA Mine Police Football club says its former player Lazarous Kambole’s move to Kaizer Chiefs from Zesco United is exciting to his former club because it motivates other players.
Mine Police president Gideon Mwenya told the Sun sport that his club being a team that groomed Kambole, was very proud of the player because he was setting up a good example to other young players at the club.
Mwenya said that Kambole’s move to chiefs meant a lot to his club because it would motivate more players at the Chililabombwe based club.
“We are excited because this is the boy that we have lived with at Mine Police right from the junior level up to the time we sold him to Zesco United through the current CEO (Richard Mulenga),
“So when you see such boys excelling it means a lot for the club such that more players are motivated and it also gives a good example to others that Konkola Mine Police is a team that has developed a lot of players,” he said
Mwenya said that having seen Kambole progress from Malalo Youth Academy a subsidiary of his team up to ZESCO United, he was confident that the player would excel not only at Chiefs but a much higher level like playing for European teams.
The Zambian national team striker joined Mine Police through its academy and spent close to a decade at the club until he was sold to ZESCO United in 2013.
And after a week of speculation in the South African and Zambian media over which club the striker would join, the Zambia forward was on Tuesday officially confirmed as a Kaizer Chiefs player after Zesco and Chiefs sealed a deal.
Both Zesco and Chiefs confirmed the development saying the Zambian striker had joined the premier soccer league side on a three year contract.
Kambole had been subject of speculation in recent weeks following an impressive two consecutive seasons at ZESCO
