A 52 year old businessman of Kabwe’s Luangwa Township has denied before Kabwe Magistrates Court to obtaining money by false pretences
This is in a case in which Keemy Chaande obtained about K16, 564 from Kechas General Dealers fraudently.
Chaande was appearing before Principal resident magistrate, Daniel Musonda charged with one count of obtaining money from Evaristo Bwembya of Kechas general dealers by false pretences.
It is alleged that Chaande issued a receipt with face value of K16,564 to Mr Bwembya purporting to show that he had the capacity to supply 56 iron sheets, 22 ridges and 8 clusters to Kechas general dealers when in fact not. Chaande pleaded not guilty and the matter has been adjourned to May 22 for trial.
