INTRODUCTION

CROSSING TO YOUR NEXT THRESHOLD

A threshold crosser is capable of walking through doors which are closed to be opened.

Revelation 3:7

John heard the son of God revealing an interesting aspect of his character.

Let us see Jesus has the key of David in his hands .The keys could represent 1. praise 2.humility 3. Courage.

These keys represent authority to open and close doors. This authority is the same authority that we as Christians have also given to walk in.

This key will open doors for our lives, families and ministries. We all know that David was not perfect. He had many regrets and that he repented and recovered from his mistakes. The one who opened doors for David is the one who now opens doors for us.

Revelation 3:8

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. NKJV

Can you imagine how the church in Philadelphia felt when they heard this word from God. The doors which seemed closed to them. Jesus saw their works and how they obeyed.

I have seen many Christians stuck behind invisible doors. They are stuck in marriages, families, dead end jobs, they are stuck because of  disobedience, hard heartedness, bitterness, jealousy, rebellion, or they are just plain uncommitted.

THERE IS A SOLUTION;

1. Be zealous for the lord.

2. Repent

3. I stand at the door and knock, hear His word.

4. Open the door.

Jesus is standing on the other side of the door. He is waiting for you in your destiny. He is knocking on the door, respecting your free will, the enemy always traps you into bad business decisions, immoral decisions or even into unforgiveness and bitterness. Our Father desires to love us, helps us, and become intimate with us.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. NKJV

OPEN DOORS LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT DOORS

Revelation 4:1

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”NKJV

After you walk through an open door, Jesus will lead you to the next door of revelation or breakthrough. The bible tells us that our walk should go from glory to glory.

2 Corinthians 3: 16-18 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. NKJV

ONE BREAKTHROUGH SHOULD LEAD TO ANOTHER ONE

>>when we walk through the doors of obedience then Jesus begins to reveal deeper things to us.

>>I believe that we can walk in the perfect will of god every day of our lives.

>>David moved from humble shepherd boy to a man after gods own heart.

1 Samuel 13:14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” NKJV

>>David walked through the doors in his life with authority.

WHAT WAS THE CHARACTER OF DAVID

1.            humility

2.            courage

3.            Sensitivity to the wrong things.

4.            admitting it when he was wrong

5.        Worshipper

OPEN DOORS LEAD TO SPIRIT ENCOUNTERS

Revelation 4:2 immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. NKJV

What are the rewards for walking through God’s doors? John walked through the door he was immediately in the spirit.

Here are rewards for walking through god’s door:

1. Come up- john was called to go up to the next level.

2. I will show you things –Jesus has a lot of things to show us.

3. I was in the spirit- some doors will take you into the supernatural.

Matthew 7:7-8

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receive, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. NKJV.

1.            Ask god to show you correct doors to open, and then ask him give you strength to cross over.

2.            Seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance and infilling. he is our counselor(john 14:26)

3.            Seek god’s perfect will. Don’t settle for good; seek his best for you, your family, your friends, and your church.

4.            Knock on many doors! Don’t wait for opportunities to come knocking on your door. Work hard and continue improving your education and knowledge.be involved in the church activities.

How to walk through open doors, arise and walk now, walk now walk through your seed.

3. You are taking steps in your new territory.

Joshua 1:5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. NKJV
