GHOSTS TERRORIZE LUKULU HEALTH WORKERS

Written by on May 5, 2019

I was shocked to learn that Mayankwa Rural Health Centre in Lukulu district in Western Province has been closed after workers deserted the facility for fear of ghosts that harass them and their families.

At this time and age, it is most unfortunate that such things should continue to be in the news.

The Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) Prince Sikufela Kabila who confirmed the turn of events said the health facility has remained shut for the past three months.

That is not funny. If town people have to struggle to get medical services, the situation must worse in rural areas and the closure of this clinic has only complicated matters for the locals.

My appeal therefore goes to the government to move in quickly and exorcise the centre so that people can continue to receive medical attention as we all that that life, apart from being precious, is in incredibly short.

I total agree with Prince Kabila that the situation should be extremely worrying for expectant mothers who have now been forced to give birth in their homes, a situation which is dangerous in case of complications.

This is a sad situation because if it is not ghosts, it is witchcraft sending civil servants away from their working places.

Can all those who may be behind these ghosts to stop it.
