A 46-year-old man has told a magistrate court that he has forgiven his landlord who kicked him on his private parts and wanted the assault case against him dropped.

Masuzyo Zulu applied to the court that the charges against his landlord be dropped.

On February 18 this year, Mr Zulu was kicked on the private parts and one of his testicles went inside, causing severe pain.

His landlord, Frank Chanda, with whom he had differences was arrested and charged with assault, causing him actual bodily harm.

Mr Zulu said he was taken to Kitwe Teaching hospital where a scan was conducted on him and it was found that one of his testicle had gone inside.

He said a second scan was done and it reviewed that he was recovering as the testicle was moving back in its position in the scrotum.

The Magistrate said after hearing that the degree of the assault was not severe, she allowed application for reconciliation and the case was closed.
