FORMER Zambia national team striker James Chamanga rolled back the years when on Sunday he helped his Red Arrows team get in the run for a continental and ABSA Cup after beating Lusaka Dynamos 2-1 at the Heroes stadium.

Chamanga recorded one of the fastest goals of the season after scoring in the first minute of the game to give Arrows the lead.

Zambian league veteran defender George Chilufya equalized for Lusaka Dynamos to make it one-all before Chamanga completed his brace immediately to hand Arrows victory.

Arrows’ win against took the Zambia Air Force- sponsored side in the top three and in the run for a continental and ABSA Cup spot.

Arrows moved into position 3 on the log replacing Kabwe Warriors who could not capitalize Lusaka Dynamos loss of points in  the just ended week after the Kabwe based side drew with Green Buffaloes at home.

Warriors have now slipped to 5th position on the log but still maintain its unbeaten run after 14 games played in the league.

On the other hand a loss for Lusaka Dynamos and an administrative forfeiture of 3 points pushed Dynamos out of the first position having gone into the week 14 games sharing the same number of points with pacesetters Zanaco.

Week 14 results meant that Lusaka Dynamos slipped into position number 4 on the log in stream B of the Zambia super league transitional season with 4 games left to play before the Close of the season.

After week 14 games, Zanaco, Zesco United, Red Arrows Lusaka Dynamos, Kabwe Warriors and Green Buffaloes will all have to fight for the top two slots to qualify for the 2019 ABSA Cup and further enhance their chances for continental qualification.
