FAZ Division 1 zone 2 side National Assembly FC has pledged to work extra hard in the second round of the season to win promotion to the super league.
Numba said his team’s back to back losses which resulted in dropping six points was a serious concern to his technical bench.
Speaking in an interview, Numba however pledged that his team would rise to the occasion in their next assignment away to Kitwe United who they beat 4-3 in the first round fixture.
Numba expressed concern over the way his team has been conceding goals after his side threw away the chance to remain at the top of the log following Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Lusaka Dynamos at Sunset Stadium.
He said that his team had not been defending well and that resulted into the back to back losses.
“Lusaka Dynamos utilized the chances they created and we didn’t defend very well. There was no co-ordination and communication at the back, as a result we conceded three goals and dropped three points which is a very disappointing result on our aspirations of finishing among the top two teams.”
“We’ve learnt lessons from these two games, we just have to pick it up from there, get back in training and work on our defence because that is the area where we’re not doing well,” said Numba
Numba said he was worried because losing to Red Arrows and Lusaka Dynamos meant dropping six points which was not a good sign for the team.
“But I just have to encourage the team so that we can get maximum points in our next match.” he said.
The losses has meant that the bankers have now conceded five goals in their last two matches and play Kitwe United in its next game at the weekend.
