CHAWAMA RESIDENTS ELATED

We want to commend the government under the able leadership of President Edgar Lungu for the heart he has for the people of Chiawa, Kafue rural.
A fortnight ago, Health minister Chitalu Chilufya announced the establishment of Mini hospital in Chiawa which elated the people who over decades have been going distances of over 45 kilometres to Chirundu’s Mtendere Mission Hospital.
This must be commended. We also hope Chiawa will soon be declared a district so that social services are closer to the people rather than going over 120 kilometres for national registration card, business licenses, NAPSA inquiries among others so we feel Chiawa if declared a town council we should be able to develop our own land as it is resources from business houses, entrepreneurs among other players aren’t used to develop Chiawa hence this call.
We know our president is able and considering that having 4 ward councillors is a qualification on its own that indeed with the ever growing population which at present stands at over 20,000 we can be made a district to reduce on transports costs and other unnecessary movements we are subjected to each time we want social services. Kafue is very far.
