GREEN Eagles captain Ceaser Hakulaba says he is excited and motivated to be called to the national team. The player, who is yet to be caped in a Chipolopolo jersey, told The Sun in an interview, he is eager to play for the national team and would work hard to ensure he shines.

Hakulaba has been summoned to the Chipolopolo monthly camp, ahead of the team’s Chan and AFCON qualifier games slated for next month.

“Every player gets motivated to represent the country,” he said.

And Green Eagles Coach, Aggrey Chiyangi, said that his team will not be greatly affected by the three players’ call up to the national team.

“Even if they were away for two to three days, it would disturb us,” he said.

He has however, counselled the players, Spencer Sautu, Ceaser Hakaluba and striker Tapson Kaseba, to work hard so that they could shine each time they feature in the national team.

Chiyangi described the players’ national team call as a big plus for his club because they will help bring experience gained from the national team to Green Eagles.

“It is a plus for the club. It adds value to the team and promotes competition with other players,” he said.

He said, “I wish to see many players from my club called to the national team because it brings quality to the team.”

Green Eagles players Spencer Sautu, Tapson Kaseba and Captain Ceasar Hakaluba were instrumental in getting the Choma-based side to finish fourth in the Zambian super league and qualification to the Confederation Cup before being eliminated in the second round.
