Musician Shenky revisits his drawing skills

He is famous for his music. It is a trade he has carried for years doubling as a producer and also a singer. His major hits include ‘So Fwenkulapo,’ ‘ Chi Shenky’ and ‘Dance yaa Bosale’ to name just a few. But behind this great music productions lies a hidden talent of drawing that musician Shenky has been sitting on for some time.

The singer has revealed this talent this year after he released pencil drawings of his fellow artistes Macky2 and Afunika.
Trading under the name, Shenky Arts, the singer has received a lot of support and encouragement to make him consider mixing his music and drawing.
“ I just done three drawings so far and my aim is just to awaken the drawing spirit in me. I really used to be very good at school,” reveals Shenky in explaining his drawings.

“ When I was at Mwense Secondary School in Luapula, I used to enjoy drawing. Although I was not taking art, I decided to sat for the final exam and trust me, I got a distinction,” adds Shenky who also admits that just like any other person, an artist can have different skills.
“ For me drawing is one of the talents I have and I am just trying to revisit it now.”
