The annual Mosi Day of Thunder will this year take place on Saturday April 20 in Livingstone.
The Zambian Breweries sponsored music celebration that has become part of Zambian entertainment culture enters year four this year.
It will take place at the traditional venue, The Livingstone Golf Club.
According to a statement by the event’s media team, this year celebration will also introduce fans to the company’s iconic Mosi lager in a vibrant 500ml limited-edition can which is hoped to reduce the number of glass bottles at the venue.
“The Mosi Day of Thunder has grown to be one of the region’s leading music festivals, attracting fans from across Zambia and from neighbouring countries, boosting tourism and travel to Zambia’s tourist capital Livingstone,” read the statement.
“The event is a celebration of music and culture that brings together top local artistes, a leading regional artiste, and up-coming talent. Previous performers have included Cassper Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz and Patoranking, Danny Kaya, Urban Hype, James Sakala, Jay Rox, Chef 187, Wezi and Slapdee.”
The line-up for this year’s event will be announced soon.
“We’re super-excited about this year’s Mosi Day of Thunder,” said Zambian Breweries Country Director Jose Moran. “Every year it gets bigger and better, and we promise party-goers and music–lovers another day to remember this year too.” Last year’s Thunder Bus VIP experience for lucky consumers was also a highlight, and Zambian Breweries is looking forward to partnering with other organisations to bring an even bigger consumer experience this year, he added.
