Renowned modelling agency Pink Diamonds run by model Sphiwe Benasho has teamed up with Positive Runway- Global Catwalk to launch the ‘ Empowering Communities’ Project aimed at supporting various disadvantaged groups with life skills.

The collaboration comes in the wake of making the modelling and fashion industry focus more on charity work rather than just the beauty pageantry.

The official launch will take place tomorrow at Neelkanth Sarovar Premiere Rooftop Venue opposite Manda Hill in Lusaka starting 19:00 hours.

“Empowering Communities Project is aimed at enabling disadvantaged communities in Zambia and other parts of Africa, including those living with HIV/AIDS by providing them with skills and a livelihood to improve their quality of life. It also seeks to help these people less dependent on hand outs,” said Benasho.

The launch event will therefore, feature a Catwalk Show by the Red Ribbon Models and will showcase Positive Runway’s Clothing line dubbed ‘ Red by House of Chitenge’. This will be centered on the theme: curated with love, one piece and one stitch at a time.

The event is supported by Sarovar Hotel, Save Lives Foundation, House of Chitenge and Miss Universe Zambia.
