Businesses need a comprehensive schedule for them to plan effectively for the load shedding or else they will be hurt by the six-hour long load-shedding every day, says Kitwe District Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Emmanuel Mambiko. Mr Mbambiko said Zesco Limited must come up with a comprehensive load shedding schedule to enable players in various sectors of the economy to plan for their operations and ensure that production was not adversely affected

I cannot read an apology that I did not write because doing so is not only a betrayal to my conscience but also a betrayal to the freedoms and rights fought for by the forefathers, Raphael Nakacinda told the Speaker yesterday. Mr Nakacinda who is Patriotic Front (PF) Information and Publicity chairperson refused to apologise to Parliament after he was found guilty of lowering the dignity of the house. 

The reason the country has started experiencing load shedding is because the government has prioritised exporting power to foreign countries, Patriotic Front aspiring presidential candidate, Chishimba Kambwili, has charged.

Mr Kambwili also urged Mr James Ndambo to rescind his decision of closing My Home Town project which was helping a number of vulnerable people in society.

President Hakainde Hichilema has said his administration is committed to developing the country through promotion of investments.

President Hichilema called on investors to partner with the government so that they help in fulfilling its agenda to Zambians.

The introduction of load shedding which is clearly against the ruling party’s campaign promises,  shows that President Hakainde Hichilema has failed the Zambian people, Patriotic Front Presidential hopeful Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has said.

President Hakainde Hichilema has declared that his administration will in 2023 focus on unlocking rigidities in the economy and factors hampering economic growth.

It is not true that President Hakainde Hichilema does not draw a salary because what he has forfeited is just a component of his emoluments, Citizens First leader Harry Kalaba has said.
