Police warn, caution Catherine Banda

POLICE have recorded statement from Catherine Banda aged 30 of Makeni in Lusaka on alleged theft of three vehicles and certificate of title by former first lady, Esther Lungu

Police deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale said, investigations are ongoing as police are yet to recover the two motor vehicles.

On May 3, 2023, police recovered one motor vehicle and a certificate of title.

“A statement was recorded from Catherine Banda aged 30 of Makeni area in Lusaka. Investigations are ongoing as Police are yet to recover the two motor vehicles,” he said.

Lawyer Makebi Zulu has confirmed that the police on Wednesday around 06 hours stormed the residence of former President Edgar Lungu in search of   three vehicles allegedly believed to have been stolen by the former first lady.

Mr.Zulu said, the move follows a complaint from an individual forcing the police to swing into action.
