EDGAR LUNGU NOT IMMUNE TO INVESTIGATIONS-VEEP

Vice president Mutale Nalumango says the Former President Edgar Lungu is not immune to any investigation by the law enforcement agency but prosecution.
Ms. Nalumango says government is aware that the former President cannot be prosecuted whilst enjoying immunity but this does not apply to investigation according to the constitution.
The vice President said this when she was responding to a question from Bangweulu member of parliament Anthony Kasandwe on why the law enforcement agencies have continued harassing Mr. Lungu by subjecting him to investigation when his immunity has not being removed.
Ms. Nalumango says Zambians must be able to differentiate investigation from prosecution of the Former head of state
She says if there is anything wrong in the manner in which investigations are being conducted, this should be attributed to the law enforcement agencies and should not be seen as harassment by government.
