THREE people have died in a fatal road traffic accident which happened on Saturday opposite Goodsman hardware in Zanimuone on Great North Road

Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said involved in the accident were two motor vehicles a Volvo truck and trailer registration number AJB 7699 which had its Horse extensively damaged and later caught fire.
He said the truck was driven by Francis Kapeteka aged 45 of Chililabombwe who sustained minor injuries.
Mr Hamoonga said also involved in the accident was a Toyota Noah which was extensively damaged and burnt to ashes.
He said the Toyota Noah was driven by a unidentified male adult who with other two passengers were trapped and later burnt to death.
“The accident is allegedly to have occurred when the driver of the Noah which was heading towards South, lost control of his vehicle after hitting into a pavement and later went into the opposite direction and ended up colliding head on with the truck which was heading North,” Mr Hamoonga said.
He said the three bodies of the occupants of the Toyota Noah remains unidentified and have been deposited in University Teaching Hospital mortuary.
