‘Undeveloped’ katuba needs a PF MP, says youth leader

NOEL IYOMBWA writes @SunZambian

KATUBA constituency has been lagging behind in terms of development because people have been voting for the opposition Members of Parliament (MP), PF student’s mobilization secretary Isaac Chomba has said.

Mr Chomba said for many years, the area had been underdeveloped because the past MPs were from the opposition.

He said that unlike other constituencies, the area has seen no development despite receiving constituency development fund (CDF).

Mr Chomba said that each time they were voted into office, the opposition MPs beceme relaxed and forgot about the plight of the people.

He said that this year, the people of Katuba have an opportunity to bring development by voting for the ruling in the August elections.

“As a resident who has stayed in Katuba for many years, I have never seen any meaningful development because we keep on voting for the opposition Members of Parliament.
“I am calling on residents to vote wisely this year so that development is delivered to all corners of the constituency especially that the constituency is vast,” he said.
He said it was high time people stopped voting on tribal lines but a person who would deliver development and that person was he PF candidate Remmy Mukosa.
Mr Chomba has advised students in higher learning institutions around the country to avoid being used by selfish politicians as tools for violence.
He observed that many were the times when students were used by greedy politicians for their selfish gain and later dump them.
Mr Chomba noted that students should only vote for credible leaders who will look into the plight of them.
