Malambo MP Makebi Zulu seeks to enhance economic growth, development

HE is qualified legal personal who decided to take up service as a lawmaker under Malambo Constituency. This week we feature the youthful Makebi Zulu, who also happens to be Eastern Province minister.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

My names are Makebi Zulu, I was born on the 25th of December 1981.

As a Christmas baby it was an honour to share hampers with the babies born at Chipata central hospital this year.

I did my Primary School Education at Lusaka Boys from 1989 to 1995, then I proceeded to Munali High School for my Secondary School Education.

In 2001, I made it to the University of Zambia where I pursued a degree in Law and from January to February of 2004 he interned at the Legal Resources Foundation in Livingstone.

Upon my Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Law at the University of Zambia, I then worked at the Ministry of Justice from April 2006 to December 2007.

In 2007, I graduated from the prestigious Zambia institute of Legal Education (ZIALE).

I then worked for the Legal Aid board as Legal Aid Counsel from Jan 2008 to December 2009.

WHEN DID YOU JOIN POLITICS

In 2013 I opened my private law firm, Makebi Zulu Advocates, in the same year I decided to join politics and vied for the Malambo parliamentary seat in the Eastern Province during the August 2016 General elections I emerged victorious as Malambo Contuency Law Maker.

The Republican President of Zambia President Edgar Chagwa Lungu later appointed me to the position of Provincial Minister for Eastern Province.
