Napsa Breeze crowned 2021 ZIBT queens

NAPSA Breeze were crowned Zambia Invitation Basketball Tournament (ZIBT) women champions after beating Dolphin in a final played at National Sports Development Centre (NASDEC) Complex in Lusaka last weekend.
Dolphin won the first quarter 14 – 11 but could not replicate the same performance in second quarter as they went behind 16-10 and lost the game leadership 27-24.
Breeze won the third quarter 18-3 and extend their overall lead to 45-27.
Dolphin won the fourth quarter 18-9 but the effort was not enough to overturn the final results as Breeze won 54-45.
The finals were decided after the seven teams played in round robin format to which the two top teams made it to the finals. – SAILIFE SPORTS
Previously, Napsa Breeze defeated Dolphin after winning 18-9 in the first half and 25-22 in second half.
Spax Storms concluded their tour of the tournament winless after going down to Napsa Breeze.
However, Storms won the first half 19-12 before losing 23-18 in second half.
Green Buffaloes lost the encounter against Dolphin after going down in both sets 8-22 and 12-29 respectively.
Buffaloes had earlier they played Copperbelt champions Spax Storms, winning the first half 34-7 before extending the lead in second half 50-11.
UNZA Honey beat Spax Storms in both sets winning the first one 28-4 before wrapping up in the second half 37-21 on Day One.
