ZAF officer recounts how his TV set was stolen

A Lusaka man has narrated in the magistrates court how thieves broke into his house and stole a television set.
Cosmas Kalasa a pharmacist of Zambia Air Force camp twin palm said he left for church around 19:00 hours on December 31 2020
He said his house was locked and well secured and that he returned after 23:00 hours.
He said everything was intact in the house that night.
He said the following morning, when he woke up, he went to the sitting room to turn on the television when he noticed that it was missing from the stand where he always kept it.
He said the window in the sitting room was open and he went to check in the kitchen and there to the window was open He said he realized that thieves had broken into his house because there had been a lot of theft cases happening around the camp.
He said the television was worth K1,800
He said he reported to his neighbour who is a military officer and he informed his superior about the theft.
He said military officers were sent to house to investigate according to their procedure.
He said later he went to the police station to report the matter.
