Zambian born musician but based in Europe, Yvonne Mwale’s recent single ‘Ne N’nga N’nga’ featuring hip hop artiste Mic Burner has been described by many music followers as impressive.

The song which combines Yvonne’s authentic music with Mic Burner’s modern touch is a tribute to Yvonne’s home in Zambia’s Eastern Province.

On this track, Yvonne shows off her wide range of vocal skills, covering R N’ B ad libs as well as catchy parts of rapping.

Performed mostly in her mother tongue Nsenga, Yvonne is expressess  herself with clarity. This is not the first time Yvonne is collaborating with a hip-hop artiste.

Back in 2011, she worked with Tanzanian hip hop icon Fid Q. The song “Sihitaji Marafiki” immediately became a number one hit and remained for 10 weeks at the top of the East African single charts.

Since then, Yvonne has hardly been seen collaborating with other arististes. This is now to change.

“Working mostly in Europe now, it means a lot to me to connect to my fellow musicians in Zambia. Working with Mic Burner was a great experience, recording across the continents as if we are in the same studio. It feels good to stay connected to my home country and develop even new musical friendships, ” said Yvonne in adding her voice to the new release.

‘Ne N’nga N’nga’ is available for download on the Zambian music platform mvesesani.com as well as on all major music platforms worldwide.
