Hello Mwana Amai and Mwana Wa Daddy,

A MAJOR indicator of healthy skin is a natural glow. However, factors like stressful lifestyles, hectic work schedules, inadequate sleep, lack of nutritional diet, harmful sun rays, excessive smoking, and excessive drinking of alcohol can make your skin dull and dry.
This is where homemade beauty recipes and simple preventive tips come in handy as they are a natural and much simpler alternative to cosmetic products.
Simple ingredients like Tumeric, natural yogurt, cinnamon and sugar can go a long way with helping you to achieve this natural glow. Here are two simple facial scrub remedies using household ingredients;

LEMON SCRUB
YOU WILL NEED
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons sugar

What You Have To Do
Mix the ingredients and apply the mixture on your face. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water to reveal glowing skin and moisturize.
Do this once or twice a week.
Lemon contains vitamin C that lightens and removes tan, making your skin appear brighter and radiant. The sugar granules provide an exfoliating effect to help to get rid of dead skin cells.

BAKING SODA SCRUB
YOU WILL NEED
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon honey

What You Have To Do
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Apply the mixture on damp face and neck using circular motions. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Moisturize as usual.
Apply this face pack once a week.
Baking soda exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells plus neutralizes the skin’s pH. It also has anti-bacterial properties that can help prevent infection
NOTE: Baking soda may irritate your skin. Hence, do a patch test before proceeding with this remedy.
There are many simple remedies one can use to enhance that inner glow.
Taking care of your skin should not be a luxury but a necessity.
When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good Mwana Amai, you do good!
Thank you for reading until next time, God Bless you and your beautiful skin.
