Wife stabs hubby

A 24-year-old man identified as Crispin Sikunza of Nakonde District in Muchinga Province is battling for his life after he was allegedly stabbed by his wife following a marital dispute.

According to Muchinga Province Commissioner of Police Joel Njase, Mr Sikunza is nursing serious injuries after he was stabbed in the abdomen by his wife on Tuesday, October 13 at night.
Mr Njase who identified the suspect as Miriam Nanyangwe said what led the couple to quarrel was yet to be established.
He said the suspect was apprehended by alert neighbors when she wanted to escape after stabbing her husband.
“We have in custody Miriam Nanyangwe who allegedly stabbed in the abdomen her husband, Crispin Sikunza after a quarrel erupted between the two on reasons yet to be established.
“The suspect wanted to run away but the community managed to apprehend her and later handed her over to Police,” Mr Njase said.
Mr Njase has however said that suspect had denied having stabbed the husband.
He said the suspect had been detained to help with investigations in the matter.
