Teacher caught defiling own teen daughter

A 14-YEAR-OLD girl of Kabushi Extension in Ndola has allegedly been defiled by her 49 year old biological father.

Confirming the incident, Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga said the victim was a grade nine Pupil at a named school.

Speaking in an interview Ms Katanga said the girl was allegedly defiled by Joseph Chenda, her biological father who was a teacher of Masala Secondary School.

She indicated that the matter was reported on Tuesday, 9 June, this year by the victim.

She said the victim narrated that on 23 May, 2020 around 08:00 hours, her young brother aged nine found the father having canal knowledge of the girl in her bedroom.

She said the young brother later rushed and reported the matter to his mother who is currently on separation with her husband.

She said the mother later got her two kids from the man with the help from some people in the area adding that the man was currently detained in Police custody.

Meanwhile, an 11-year-old girl of Masaiti District has sustained vaginal pains and bleeding after been defiled by Specious Musonda, her Uncle.

The Copperbelt Commissioner of Police said the incident happened on June 9th, 2020 around 17 hours.

She said Martha Matalabushi, 29, of Mukala village under Chief Mushili’s Chiefdom in Masaiti District reported that her daughter, aged 11, had been defiled by her uncle whose age is unknown. 

The incident happened when the mother to the victim left to attend a funeral for a relative, leaving her children doing house chores.

She narrated that the uncle instructed the victim to go clean his house where he got a hold of her and defiled her. 

Ms Katanga said the elder sister to the victim aged 13 entered the house to check on her younger sister where she found him in the act and immediately informed the mother who later took her daughter to Arthur Davis Children’s Hospital

The Copperbelt Commissioner of Police stated that the perpetrator was currently on the run.
