RTSA in conjunction with the Lusaka City Council (LCC) has finally concluded revised speed limits on some roads in Lusaka after a series of concerns from stakeholders.

The revised process of the speed limits committee constituted by the Agency adjusted upwards on some roads.

According to RTSA public relations officer Fredrick Mubanga, the process of installing the revised speed limits would start with Great East Road.

Mr Mubanga in a statement said the revised speed limits that had started would later be rolled out to all other highways and later to the rest of the provinces once the needed resources were available.

The speed limits that had been adjusted upwards for the few selected road were as follows:40KM/H to 60KM/H;60KM/H to 80KM/H and 80KM/H to 100KM/H.

Motorist had therefore been advised to be cautious on the road by following road traffic rules to avoid accidents that may follow ‘with this kind this freedom’.
