The company stated that Mr Lusambo was supposed to pay the money on February 22, 2019.
The plaintiffs, however, stated that Mr Lusambo had been engaged on many occasions with the view of settling the matter but the minister had not been forthcoming.
“We will show at trial that we made several demands to the defendant by ourselves and also through lawyers but the defendant has been unyielding to the demands,” read part of the claim.
Ziger however, stated that Mr Lusambo made several undertaking to pay the debt in question but that he never fulfilled his promise.
The plaintiffs stated that as a consequence of Mr Lusambo’s action, they have suffered damage and loss and now claims an order for immediate payment of K147, 800, damages and interest, any other relief the court may deem fit and legal costs.
Ziger explained that the particulars of the loss and damage was the cost of the material that was supplied to him, which it initially got on credit at K110,000, and hoped to pay after the minister paid for the supply and service provided to him.
