Bus driver to cough K8,000 for virginity damage

A 28YEAR OLD driver of Lusaka’s Mtendere Township has been sued in the Chelstone local court on allegation that he impregnated an 18-year old girl.
This is in a matter in which Moses Tembo was sued by Mr Collins Muchindu, 48 of Mtendere East for making his daughter pregnant
Muchindu told Presiding Magistrate Mary Namangala Tembo impregnated his daughter and whenever he called him, the accused ignored his calls.
“We never sat as family so I want him to give me K15, 000 as compensation for damage because he is the first one to sleep with my daughter and since then she has never gone back to school’’, he said.
In defence, Tembo said he could not manage to pay K15, 000 and instead suggested a fee of K8, 000 to be paid in instalment.
“I can only manage to pay k8, 000 and not at a goal but K300 every month because money is a problem and I have expenses as well,’’ he said.
The court however ordered Tembo to pay K8, 000 with first installments of K2, 000 month end of September and K350 thereafter.
